At Divine Taranga Silks (“we”, “our”, “us”), we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your information when you use divinetarangasilks.com, the Divine Taranga Silks mobile application, purchase our physical products, or use AI Virtual Try-On.
By using our services, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Account and Contact Information
We may collect your name, phone number, email address, password in protected form, profile image, shipping address, billing address, and customer-support communications.
1.2 Order and Transaction Information
We collect product selections, cart details, order history, delivery information, transaction references, payment status, refunds, and subscription or AI Try-On usage information. Card, UPI, net-banking, and banking credentials are processed by HDFC SmartGateway or the applicable payment provider and are not stored by Divine Taranga Silks.
1.3 Technical and Usage Information
We may collect IP address, device and browser information, operating system, app version, cookie identifiers, diagnostic logs, security events, and information about how our website or app is used.
1.4 AI Virtual Try-On Information
When you voluntarily use AI Virtual Try-On, you may upload one full-body photograph. Your face may be visible in this photograph. We may also process the selected saree reference images, AI generation request, generated result, generation status, and remaining Try-On allowance.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to:
• Create and manage customer accounts.
• Process, deliver, track, cancel, return, or refund physical product orders.
• Process payments and confirm transaction status.
• Provide customer support and important account or order communications.
• Provide AI Virtual Try-On when voluntarily requested.
• Save the approved Try-On profile photograph for future Try-On requests.
• Display generated results and applicable Try-On usage history.
• Protect accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and maintain service security.
• Diagnose errors and improve website and app performance.
• Send promotional communication only where permitted, with an option to opt out.
• Comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory requirements.
3. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain carts and sessions, measure traffic, improve performance, and protect the service. Browser settings may be used to limit cookies, but some features may then be unavailable.
4. SHARING AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose only the information reasonably necessary to service providers involved in operating our business, including:
• HDFC SmartGateway or other enabled payment providers for transaction processing and verification.
• Courier and logistics partners for physical product delivery.
• Hosting, storage, security, communications, analytics, and technical-support providers.
• Google Gemini API for AI Virtual Try-On processing, as explained in Section 11.
• Government, regulatory, law-enforcement, or legal authorities when disclosure is required by applicable law.
Service providers process information subject to their applicable agreements, privacy terms, security practices, and legal obligations.
5. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Payment credentials are handled by the applicable payment provider. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
6. DATA RETENTION
Account, order, transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, and support records may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to provide services and meet legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Retention of AI Try-On photographs and generated results is described specifically in Section 11.3. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until they are safely overwritten or deleted in accordance with normal backup processes.
7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may replace your AI Try-On profile photograph through the Try-On feature and may request deletion of associated AI Try-On data.
Requests may be sent to divinetarangasilks@gmail.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. MARKETING COMMUNICATION
Where permitted, we may send product news, offers, or updates through email, SMS, or WhatsApp. You may opt out using the provided unsubscribe option or by contacting us. Essential order, payment, security, and service communications are not marketing messages.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our services and AI Virtual Try-On are not directed to persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information or photographs from children. If such information is identified, contact us so that it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website or app may contain links to services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Divine Taranga Silks is not responsible for those practices.
11. AI VIRTUAL TRY-ON AND FACE-CONTAINING PHOTOS
11.1 Information You Choose to Upload
When you use AI Virtual Try-On, you may voluntarily upload one full-body photograph. Because this is a full-body photograph, your face may be visible in the image. You must upload only a photograph of yourself or a photograph that you have the legal right and permission to use. Do not upload photographs of another person without their consent or any sensitive, unlawful, or inappropriate content.
Divine Taranga Silks does not extract or collect facial geometry, facial landmarks, face templates, Face ID data, or biometric identifiers from the photograph. We do not use the photograph to identify or authenticate you.
11.2 How We Use the Photograph
We use the uploaded photograph only to create the saree visualization requested by you and to make the approved Try-On profile photograph available for your future Try-On requests. The photograph is not used for facial recognition, identity verification, authentication, advertising, tracking, behavioural profiling, or the training of models operated by Divine Taranga Silks.
11.3 Storage, Retention, Replacement, and Deletion
One selected Try-On profile photograph may be stored securely in your customer account on the application storage used by divinetarangasilks.com. It is retained until you replace it, request its deletion, or delete your customer account. When you replace the Try-On profile photograph, the previous photograph is removed from our active application storage.
You may replace the photograph through the Try-On feature. You may request deletion of the photograph, generated results, or associated AI Try-On data by contacting divinetarangasilks@gmail.com. After verifying the request, we will complete deletion from active application storage within 7 days, except where limited retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate backup processes.
11.4 Google Gemini API Processing
Only when you request an AI Try-On, the selected full-body photograph and saree reference images are transmitted securely to the Google Gemini API to generate the requested visualization. Google acts as an AI processing service provider and processes submitted content subject to its applicable service terms, data-processing terms, security practices, and legally required retention.
We do not sell, rent, or share uploaded photographs with advertisers or data brokers. We do not permit uploaded photographs to be used by Divine Taranga Silks for facial recognition, advertising profiles, or biometric identification.
11.5 Generated Results and Accuracy
The generated Try-On result may be stored in your account or Try-On history so that you can view the requested result. AI-generated output is provided only as a visual reference and may not perfectly represent the actual colour, texture, border, pallu, design, fit, or drape of the physical saree. Always review the original product photographs and description before purchasing.
11.6 Optional Feature and Consent
Uploading a photograph and using AI Virtual Try-On is optional. By choosing to upload a photograph and requesting an AI Try-On, you consent to the processing described in this Section 11. If you do not agree, do not upload a photograph or use AI Virtual Try-On. You may continue browsing and purchasing physical products without using this feature.
12. POLICY UPDATES
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
